The International Water Resources Association (IWRA) is pleased to announce the launch of its annual call for applications for IWRA Membership grants.
These grants offer a free 12-month Silver Membership to water enthusiasts around the world who are passionate about water resources but unable to afford a subscription. Grants are awarded through a simple application process.
Application Guidelines
Benefits of an IWRA Membership Grant
Priority will be given to:
- Students and young/early-career professionals;
- Individuals who currently hold an active IWRA Bronze Membership;
- Individuals who have been active in IWRA activities.
- Gender and regional balance will be taken into consideration.
- Previous membership grant recipients may reapply up to two times.

The membership grant includes all the benefits of an IWRA Silver Membership, such as:
- Voting rights in IWRA elections;
- Eligibility to run for the Executive Board;
- Opportunity to lead a Task Force or Working Group;
- Promotion of your publications and achievements in IWRA’s quarterly newsletter and through the Member Spotlight social media campaigns.

The total number of IWRA Membership Grants offered each year is determined by the number of active Gold and Silver Institutional Members. IWRA’s Selection Committee will review all applications and allocate the grants accordingly. The list of successful applicants will be announced on IWRA’s website, social media channels, and through a dedicated email campaign.
