Our Focus Areas

We are transforming water knowledge into action by:

  • Using clear, jargon-free language in research outputs.
  • Sharing knowledge through multiple channels—online and offline, workshops, local networks, NGOs, and community organisations.
  • Mapping successful strategies for delivering actionable water information to those who need it most.
  • Fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across fields
  • Integrating scientific insights with practical experience and other knowledge sources.
  • Creating training materials for teachers, trainers, and community leaders.

Concept note developed: Tailored approaches for different audiences.

Ongoing survey to be launched end of September 2025: collecting materials and case studies from IWRA members and partners.

By end of 2025 we will deliver:

  • A tested approach for sharing water research with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • A communications strategy to ensure information reaches the right people at the right time.
  • A robust, user-driven information base for water action.

We are collecting case studies, tools, and examples of effective water research and knowledge sharing. Your input will shape our approach and ensure it meets the needs of the different audiences.
