IWRA Webinar on Bridging Science and Policy: Legal Perspectives (5pm CET)!

IWRA’s webinar on the “Bridging Science and Policy: Legal Perspectives”, is taking place on Thursday, May 16th from 17:00 to 18:30 Central European Time (11:00 – 12:30 EST). This 90-minute event is based on themes discussed in the Special Issue of Water International (Vol. 44, Issue 3) and in the forthcoming policy brief on this same topic.

This webinar drawing from legal approaches to water, is co-organized with AIDA (International Association for Water Law). The webinar draws from selected papers dealing with law and governance presented at the IWRA XVI World Water Congress (Cancun 2017). The Panelists will discuss the role of legal frameworks and mechanisms in the integration of science in decision-making processes and evidence-based policies. They will share their insights on how to make laws flexible and adaptive to scientific knowledge and new environmental, social and economic conditions.
