Every island has a unique relationship with its freshwater, shaped by local geography, climate, and governance conditions. From regulation and resource management to climate adaptation and community resilience, island experiences offer valuable lessons for the international water community.
As part of IWRA’s efforts to amplify island voices in the global water dialogue, we are excited to announce our next webinar: “Islands and Freshwater: Regulation, Climate Change and Resilience.” Taking place on Friday 22 May, the webinar explores practical strategies to strengthen freshwater governance and resilience in island contexts, while highlighting how island-led approaches to water management can help inform wider global conversations.
