Ignacio Deregibus leads the IWRA Executive Office, overseeing the strategic implementation of the Association’s priorities, day-to-day operations, partnership development, and coordination with the Board and global stakeholders. He has served as IWRA’s Executive Director since March 2025, having joined the Association in 2016 and held senior roles including Deputy Executive Director and Acting Executive Director.

Over his career, Ignacio has worked with international organisations such as UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme, the OECD, and the Global Climate Forum, spearheading initiatives in water governance, climate resilience, and sustainable development. He also brings private-sector experience from Accenture, where he supported strategic development and project delivery across multiple regions. Ignacio holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Buenos Aires and a Master in Public Affairs (Sustainability) from Sciences Po, Paris, and holds dual Argentinian and Italian nationality.
