On 3 November, the IWRA Islands and Water Task Force held its latest Meet & Greet, welcoming 20 participants from around the world.

Since its first session in March, the IWRA Islands and Water Task Force has hosted three engaging Meet & Greet events, bringing together members from around the world to exchange knowledge and experiences on freshwater management in island contexts.

Each Meet & Greet combines expert presentations with 15–20-minute breakout discussions, providing an informal space for participants to learn and connect. These sessions have featured distinguished speakers sharing insights from islands such as Mayotte, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, and the Solomon Islands.

The enthusiasm and active engagement across these sessions reflect the strong commitment of our growing community, which now has 73 members!

Looking ahead, the Task Force’s final Meet & Greet of the year will take place on 15 December, from 15:00 to 16:30 CET, shortly after the UN Water Conference in Abu Dhabi, where IWRA will be present and working to amplify island perspectives in the global water dialogue.
