How Water Improves Agriculture: Advances in climate responsive irrigation for sustainability and productivity - International Water Resources Association

This webinar looked at the role of water in the sustainability of concentrated food production systems. As increased and concentrated food production, drought, famine, and related equity concerns begin to take a more advanced place in our public discussion, it is important to emphasise the role that water can play to address humanities need to eat. The panellists in this webinar focused on improved water use efficiency in open cropping, protected cropping and precinct planning in the Oceania region.

The webinar was a collaboration between the International Water Resources Association, the IWRA Oceania Chapter, the University of New South Wales’ Global Water Institute, and the Cooperative Research Centre for Future Food Systems, Australia.
