Aubrey Crosby is an Assistant Professor of Writing at Regis College, where she teaches classes in first-year writing, rhetoric, and literature. She holds a Ph.D. from Kent State University, an M.A. from the University of Toledo, and a B.A. from Siena Heights University, and she is also the author of News Media and the Positioning of the Dakota Access Pipeline, a scholarly work that examines journalistic discourse in political and social contexts. Her research centers on representation in media, digital and media literacy, and how news coverage frames social movements and protest reporting. Originally from the Midwest, Aubrey Crosby now resides in Massachusetts.
