From 1-5 December 2025, the XIX World Water Congress took place in Marrakech, Morocco.

Under the theme “Water in a Changing World: Innovation and Adaptation”, the XIX World Water Congress explored innovative solutions and adaptive strategies to strengthen water systems and other systems that rely on water in an increasingly interdependent world and in a time of constant change on all levels.

The XIX World Water Congress was hosted by the Ministry of Equipment and Water of Morocco, Kingdom of Morocco and the International Water Resources Association.

Key outcomes of the XIX Congress are Marrakech Declaration and Ministerial Declaration.
