DESCRIPTION:IWRA is pleased to announce it that it will be hosting two special sessions\, co-sponsored by ACIAR\, UniSA Business\, at the 24th ICID International Congress in Adelaide\, South Australia.  \nThe first special session titled\, Australian Irrigation and Water Issues\, will take place on the 4th October. The objective is to provide the audience with an overview of research on water management challenges and institutions to address challenges across a wide range of water use contexts in Australia from ground to surface water\, irrigation to forestry\, peri-urban and Aboriginal values of water in-situ. \nThe second special session\, coordinated by Henning Bjornlund\, IWRA Vice-President\, will take place on the 5thOctober. Titled\, Transforming Small-Scale Irrigation in sub-Saharan Africa\, this event will facilitate a discussion about what kind of approach is required to create real rural transformation and development
