Sungphil Jang is a Smart City expert. He joined the IWRA under a secondment from K-water for Smart Water City project in Feburary 2021.  He also works at K-water as a senior manager.  Now he is based in IWRA’s Executive Office in Paris, France.

He has extensive hands-on experience in smart city projects planning, as well as with water resource research, water operation and management, and river restoration projects.

He led the “Busan Eco-Delta Smart City National Pilot Master Plan Project” and the “Technical Note for Four Rivers Restoration Projects”.

He has a bachelor degree in water management (Civil Engineering) and MSc in “Water infraoperation and management” from the Chungnam National University in South Korea.
